I offer a supportive space to address health concerns, working holistically to treat underlying imbalances and, in turn, alleviate symptoms. I aim to empower clients to take an active role in their health, helping build a deeper connection to their wellbeing.
i have always aligned with the healing properties of plants and nature, and have used plant medicine since childhood. i am trained in clinical aromatherapy and massage and have a BSc (hons) degree in herbal medicine.
I am a member of the National Institute of Medical Herbalists, which was established in 1864. The institute has a comprehensive code of ethics for its members, and each member must be degree educated in herbal medicine.
I offer consultations and follow up appointments online for people further afield.
I believe everybody should have access to herbal medicine and offer a few spaces per month to those in financial hardship - please reach out if this is something you require
About Herbal Medicine
Herbal medicine is a centuries old health practise and is a traditional medicine system of these isles. Its a holistic practise using plant extracts, usually in the form of alcohol based tinctures and herbal infusions derived from flowers, leaves, roots and more. These will be prescribed by a herbalist following a comprehensive consultation.
Prescriptions are always completely individualised and prepared to suit the individuals’ circumstances and health needs.
Herbal medicine is for everyone and can be used to treat both long term and short-term health conditions. It can work alongside pharmaceutical medications and other forms of treatment safely, when under the supervision of a medical herbalist.
Herbal medicine can support the following:
Skin
Joints and Bones
Heart and circulation
Fertility, pregnancy and childbirth
Hormonal health
Emotional health
Fatigue, energy and stamina
Digestive disorders
Allergies
Immunity
Herbal treatment begins with an unrushed, holistic consultation. This usually lasts around 60 - 90 minutes and explores your primary concern and overall health. This usually involves blood pressure taking, pulse and tongue diagnosis and any other appropriate clinical assessments relevant to the person.
After this the treatment plan and herbal prescription will be sent out by post or collected by the client. The treatment plan will include nutritional advice and lifestyle recommendations to be used alongside the herbs. The medicine is priced separately and can be discussed during consultation. Follow up appointments will usually take place after 4 weeks.
